Drama Dispatch, is an extension of our commitment to fostering a community where art enthusiasts, aspiring creators, and curious minds can come together to share, learn, and find inspiration. We envision a space where words become colors, and ideas transform into vivid expressions on the canvas of our collective imagination.

What sets Drama Dispatch apart from the rest, is our team are involved within the arts world, whether that be as administrators, creatives, performers or techies. We don't just have a passion for writing, we ourselves live within the arts world and have your best interests at heart!

MEET THE TEAM

JAKE GOODALL (He/Him) - Managing Director/Writer

Jake is an avid theatre practitioner living on Yugumbeh land in Kombumerri and is currently the Artistic Director of Javeenbah Theatre Company. Utilsing his Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media, he professionally he works as an Admin & Marketing Officer for Showtime Australia and as a Associate Producer for Everybody Now!. Due to start his Masters of Cultural Leadership in 2025, Jake constantly uses his creative skills by producing and directing both professional and community productions across the South East Queensland Region. He is an accomplished theatre reviewer & has written for Bravo Brisbane, Bravo Gold Coast, TheatreHaus, Arts Hub, Australian Arts Review and BroadwayWorld. Jake has also received the Eagle Award from the Gold Coast Theatre Alliance in 2024 for his outstanding contributions to the Gold Coast Arts and Theatre scene.




GRACE WILSON (She/Her) - Writer

Grace Wilson (she/her) is an 19-year-old emerging playwright living on Yuggera and Turrbal land in Meanjin. As an avid reviewer, she has reviewed for several companies including Australian Theatre for Young People, Queensland Stage Critics and Lemonade Letters To Art. Grace has also received for her works in writing for stage (Young Playwrights’ Award, Patrick White Playwrights’ Award Shortlist, Griffin Award Shortlist, Premier’s Drama Award Shortlist) and prose (ABC Heywire Highly Commended), and has been longlisted for three commissions (ATYP Foundation Commission, Martin-Lysicrates Prize, Lysicrates Prize). She has also undertaken several playwrighting training programs including JUTE WriteSparks, Queensland Theatre’s Young Writers’ Ensemble and ATYP Fresh Ink Mentoring. Grace is currently under commission with Queensland University of Technology and Observatory Theatre, while also in residence with Queensland Writers' Centre.

GABRIEL BESA (He/She) - Writer

A jack of all trades when it comes to the creatives. Gabriel knows how to add his own flavour no matter the project.


Originally from Bristol, England, Mark has loved finding a place amongst the community theatre scene here in South East Queensland. Mark studied Creative Writing at Bath Spa University and until 2021 had never been involved in theatre at all. Now an avid performer, he is enjoying finding more ways to express his creativity and be involved in the world of theatre through directing and writing. To Mark, the most important aspect of community theatre is the community, and he is always looking to be an advocate of safe, welcoming and inclusive creative spaces.
