Request a Reviewer

After all, reviews are what we are all about, so of course we want to hear from you if you have a show you’d like us to consider for review. You can read about the types of reviews we complete here or scroll to the bottom of the page to request a reviewer!

Where Do We Review?

The majority of our coverage is in South East Queensland. We are always trying to expand that area, so get in touch and tell us about your show, and if we have someone in the area, we’ll see if they can make it.

What Do We Review?

Absolutely anything that is considered art (yes even subjectively!), We will come to your musicals, plays, circus, dance concerts, fringe performances, art galleries and everything in between!

We will also dip our toe into theatre related books and even the occasional film. Put simply, if you think you have something that we might be interested in, just tell us about it. We will always consider every invite we receive.

How Do We Decide What Gets Reviewed?

It is purely schedule based if a reviewer is available to attend your show, they will attend! If they can't attend feel free to send through a press release or interview request so we can provide some coverage on your show!

How Far In Advance Should We Contact You?

It’s never too early to invite us. Whilst most of our team probably only plan a few weeks ahead, some will plan a few months if a show takes their interest. We will also take review requests for shows happening in the next week or two, but we can’t often fill such late requests, it really depends if a reviewer finds they have some spare time and the show takes their interest. Never be afraid to ask, we will always try for you.

Our Show is Ready, We Want to Invite You, What do we do?:

Send an email to dramadispatch@gmail.com with the show name, producer, location, available dates and times! We will then contact you if a reviewer is available to attend, from there you make 2 tickets available for our reviewers to attend and then sit back and relax! It's that easy!

‘Checked Out’ // Inscape Assembly

Welcome to Greenmart, where the Karens run wild, wannabe creatives line the shelves, and the rule of not falling in love with your co-workers is undeniably broken! ‘Checked Out’ is a fresh musical presented by Inscape Assembly that offers a glimpse into the inner lives of several young employees navigating the challenges of both the modern retail landscape and the individuals unfortunate enough to be caught up in it. From Alice, the new kid on the block, to Jet, who has weathered it all, from the lovestruck Harry to the perennially lost Lara,”Checked Out is a comedic musical that resonates with anyone who’s toiled in customer service and nearly lost their sanity in the process. Caleb Bartlett’s lighting design was simple yet effective, employing basic backlighting and front spotlights. While the lighting scheme remained fairly straightforward, it did succeed at times in setting the scene’s mood and enhancing the musical numbers. Tess Matthews’ sound direction deserves commendatio...

‘Clue: On Stage’ // Footlights Theatrical Inc.

It was Mrs Peacock, with the Candle Stick in the Kitchen! Or was it… In the heart of Beenleigh, Footlights Theatrical Inc’s rendition of ‘Clue: On Stage’ unfolded in the aptly named Tin Shed (Phoenix Ensemble), delighting Southeast Queensland audiences with a wonderfully produced performance. Based on the iconic 1986 movie and Hasbro board game, ‘Clue: On Stage’ is a hilarious farce and murder mystery, set in a mansion where blackmail is the entrée and murder is the main course. Directed by Ashleigh Cates, the farcical production showcased moments of brilliance, despite occasional unpolished scene changes and static blocking. Some costume choices for the production, set in the 1950s, raised eyebrows, but these nuances didn’t overshadow the overall enjoyment of the audience. With a bit more emphasis on the farcical and melodramatic nature of the play, the production could have reached even greater heights. Leading the Set Design team was Isaac Tibbs. Tibb’s creation was smart and ...

Bloom Girl // MeOhMy

Walking into this production is like stepping into the land of influencers and Instagram itself. Complete with ladies in beautiful lingerie, roses aplenty, and digital and print art everywhere. The vibes are spot on even before the show begins! The key message of this production is “show me something real”. Post-disaster, melted ice-cream in hand, and bleeding @bloomgirl, a disillusioned artist with a niche web comic, is waiting to be seen in a hospital emergency room. Tied up in knots of likes and filters, @bloomgirl’s carefully curated online persona is about to spectacularly collide with the IRL, culminating in a digital melt-down that breaks her tiny pocket of the internet permanently. But it may just be real enough to matter to the right people. Alice in a dark digital wonderland, @bloomgirl tells a riotous and sacrilegious tale about love and acceptance in a world of influencers who care more about your follower count than what you have to say. The set design by Charli Burr...
